Why

Modern applications delivery relies on data centers, virtualization, and connectivity to client devices. This has led to networks becoming faster and traffic patterns more complex, which exponentially increases the operational challenges of monitoring and optimization. Unfortunately, traditional performance monitoring tools were not designed for the speed, scale and complexity of this rapidly evolving environment. These growing challenges demand agile and pervasive intelligence throughout the entire network. Efficient workflow requires real–time key performance indicators, proactive alerts about imminent issues, and immediate detection of intermittent misbehaviors, which software alone cannot provide. Therefore, software tools need to be coupled with distributed smart ports, leveraging intelligent hardware, to perform the heavy lifting of real–time inspection of every bit in every packet and flow.
